Plotinus on Virtue: Becoming God
Yitzchok Lowy and I discuss the last chapters on Plotinus' On Virtue, in which the shift of perspective from the person who seeks to cleanse themselves and the inherently pure and separate soul joined to nous becomes clear. We end with a conundrum: does the sage retain the lower virtues potentially? Or does he have no use for them after he has attained the highest simplicity?
