אבל ראיתי למשל שהאדמור מתולדות אהרן לא הרשה לעשות הבית מדרש שלהם עם קישוטים וכו׳, כי חשב שזה בעיה. אז יש כן חסידים שחשבו ככה.

Also, the chasidim were always reluctant or not sure about their revolutionary status. You can say that belz for example is just another old style city although the rabbi was a chasidim Rebbe. Most of the anti establishment stiff didn’t survive and wasn’t even really acknowledged at the time.

Possibly chabad still attains the eschewing of nice Shuls to this day
